So, your tenants have just moved out of the flat or house you were renting out to them and you are wondering about what to do next… You know that there will be some clean up required following their departure, but should you attempt a basic clean yourself or use professionals? At some point in your life, you may find yourself renting a property. It could be that you haven't yet found a house that you would like to buy or you haven't got the finances. Whatever the reason for your renting, at some point your circumstances will change and you will need to move out.
When moving out, most Estate Agents or landlords will do an inventory check. The inventory check is done to ensure that you are handing back the property in the way you found it, in many situations this means that it needs to be well cleaned and maintained.
When it comes to renting, both tenants and landlords share the same responsibility in keeping the property in excellent condition. However, the reality is that there are some tenants who do not clean up when they leave. Some exit the property in a mess, leaving the landlord to deal with it.
